Trisha Lucas, Educational Director

Trisha Lucas has been involved with Desert Sun for over 20 years. She began as a teacher and became the Director of Education in 2003. This position assists her in pursuing her passion of working with young children and early childhood education. She is a strong advocate of the child as well as the family unit.
Susan Femiani, Business Administration Director
Masters Degree in Business Administration
Susan Femiani has been involved with Desert Sun for over 30 years. Starting out as a Desert Sun parent she has since ventured into the classroom and the office. Currently Susan works in the office maintaining the business side of the Center utilizing her MBA from Arizona State University.
3-year Lead Teacher
Linda has been involved with Desert Sun for 30 years and teaching here for about 25 years. She has a BA and MA in elementary education from ASU. Her hobbies include reading, movies and gardening (mostly at DS).
Pre-K Assistant Teacher
Jennifer has been teaching at Desert Sun for one year. She has a Bachelors in elementary education and Bachelors in special education. Her hobbies include health and fitness, yoga, reading, homeopathic living, cooking, camping, and ultimate frisbee.
T-K Assistant Teacher
Michelle has been teaching at Desert Sun for one year. She has a Bachelors in early childhood education with a reading endorsement. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, cheering the Sun Devils, Diamondbacks, Cardinals and her kids.
Pre-K Lead, 3-year Assistant Teacher and Administration Assistant
Heidi has been teaching at Desert Sun since 2011. She has a BA in Elementary Education with minors in Math and Science. She has worked with Pre-K through 8th grade children in some capacity for over 30 years.
Assistant and Substitute Teacher
Kathy has been teaching at Desert Sun for 21 years. She is the ultimate organizer. Her hobbies include cooking, reading, gardening, traveling, decorating, organizing, and crafting.
